The hawktail broom has close ties to the Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill, Kentucky where it was developed. Its fan or hawktail shape, held in place with hemp cordage, is the precursor to the modern day whisk broom. This one follows traditional Shaker design and is made using natural & dyed broomcorn and nylon cord. It measures 13.5” in length.
