The very first brooms were made by gathering a group of twigs together with a cord. Round in shape, they did the job. Gradually, twigs were replaced with broomcorn and the round broom was born. This hand broom plays with a traditional design using the entire length of the broomcorn. We trimmed the stiff lengths of hurl at an angle to create a scrubbing edge and placed the handle in the middle. Sweep and scrub! It measures 14” in length.
